Queensland’s public health emergency powers extended until September
Queensland’s declared public health emergency has been extended for another three months.
Queensland’s Public Health Emergency Declaration has now been extended until Thursday 22 September 2022:

“On 17 June 2022, Queensland’s declared public health emergency for COVID-19 was extended to 11.59pm on Thursday 22 September 2022.”
The declaration allows the Chief Health Officer the ability to issue any direction they see fit to ‘contain the spread of COVID-19’ across the state for another three months.
“Directions will be progressively updated to reference the new date of 22 September 2022.”
